Split screen on a Mac (self.Blind)
submitted 5.33582243441358y ago by FantasticWhit84
When my PC died several years ago, I made the decision to go ahead and convert over to a Mac for video content purposes. It was not long after ZoomText Mac had been released so I was incredibly optimistic after hearing from the company that magnification options were still being added. Several years later, I’ve pretty much given up hope that the feature I utilize most, docked screen mode, is going to be added so I’m seeking an alternative. I’m unable to use full screen due to my nystagmus. The accessibility options on a Mac have allowed me to modify it to a degree but in comparison and clarity with what ZoomText offered, I need to have something more catered for me, especially that I’m now regularly volunteer for a content creator on YouTube. The eye fatigue is getting to me but I love what I’m doing. I’d also love to release my own content more regularly as well. I worked my way into a week long migraine editing an esight demo video last summer but was very proud of how it turned out.

I hope someone else is about to give you some options. I am not sure if you are going to find any other options like zoom text on a Mac. I am not sure as I use VoiceOver rather than magnification. I wonder if you could just bootcamp your Mac and use zoom text if the built in accessibility is not working for you.
