Looking for a Braille Aid (self.Blind)
submitted 5.230898919753087y ago by SeriousStart
Hey Redditors,

I have a client in Sterling, VA looking for a Braille Teacher's aid or a TVI. There's a teenager who is losing their sight \(poor kiddo is getting anxiety & uncomfortable about it\).

The job would be part\-time \(probably 15 or 20 hours per week\). This is a contract role available through my temp agency.

You would be working with staff and helping this person learn Braille \(UED is preferable, but any English Braille is fine\) and perhaps helping out with life skills. \(More details can be given during the interview with the client\).

You must be at least 18 years of age, authorized for employment in the US, and complete pre\-employment.

*Please share with anyone you know in the DC Metro Area.*

The NFB headquarters is also in DC and they'll definitely be able to refer you to someone qualified.
