Braille display and brf files. (self.Blind)

I’m somewhat new to braille displays and I’m having some complications with something I’m working on. I was hoping someone here could give me an idea on how to work through it or direct me somewhere I might find an answer.

The project I’m playing with has text output to a braille display where the text shown keeps its original grade level formatting. For example, words in a sentence will be primarily shown in grade 2 contracted braille while only a few words will be presented in grade 1 uncontracted braille.

At this point, I have had some success using BRF files. I’ve tried both Braille Blaster and Duxbury braille translator with mixed results. Braille Blaster has been the hardest for me to work with because both Jaws and NVDA seem to struggle with the program. Duxbury has shown better results but at times can still be finicky displaying text differently then how it was entered.

I would greatly appreciate any advice anyone can offer
