Thank you for your feedback. The joke is that one may randomly come upon a set of dots that would misspell a name Derm in a sentence "Derm was here" as such grafitti are often written on various surfaces.

I was thinking of textures like popcorn ceilings or sprayed-on-cement on sides of some buildings.

A constellation wouldn't be raised dots, the stars are spheres. From Earth's relative point of view, they appear to be on a black background and thus as dots. But they wouldn't be "raised" as such. The chances of a set of stars making a braille sentence would be highly unlikely, the stars would have to appear close enough to form a sentence without any other stars in the background interfering.
