Insurance what do you guys do? (self.Blind)
submitted by bi-hi-chi
I have myopic macular degeneration and I'm on medicaid. I've been having to get avastin shots every month this year now and they are no longer working nor imo have they been working as I've had shots every visit. But my dr keeps saying that it's really hard to get them to approve eylea treatment with my medicaid insurance. Im starting to get really anxious and up set about it. I'm self employed and because of how many dr visitors i have every year i try to stay on Medicaid so I'm not drowning in co pays. I really wish America wasn't this fucked up. I know that there is assistance for the eylea co pay which is 400 bucks. But the cost of insurance plus the cost of co pay for dr and all the tests i need just adds up really fast. Plus the cost of the monthly shots.
