Creating stickies in your subreddits (self.Blind)
submitted by stormsong19
Could one of the mods, or one of you with your own subreddit, please advise me on how to create a sticky post? The typical instructions don't seem to map to what I'm seeing with the screen reader.

Okay, thanks for that. I'll have to see if I can figure out how to switch back to classic. Thanks so, so much for all your answers/experience.

There are also a bunch of rules around what posts are allowed to be sticky. They have to be text posts, and they have to have been made by a mod; I can't sticky a post by someone in this community, no matter how much I want to.

Once the post is finished... there is a box below it and you choose "make announcement." That's it.

You can only have two stickies at a time.

If you are going to make something into an announcement, you should likely distinguish the post so they know it's coming from a mod.

Thank you so much. I am not entirely sure why I don't see this option. I've tried with firefox and chrome with nvda, but no luck. I think I have found a workaround. Out of curiosity, though, are you using old/classic reddit or the new one?

I use classic, because the mod tools work more efficiently.
