University seeking help from blind or visually impaired redditors (self.Blind)
submitted by AUCAS
Hello all,

I am not intruding on the r/Blind page, but I have a request.

I am an Academic Consultant at small liberal arts university in upstate New York. As part of my role here I am creating a focus group to assess the functionality and accessibility of our school’s website. We’re particularly interested in its accessibility with screen readers.

There are currently no low vision or blind students registered at our center for academic success, and it’s important to us that the voices of those who would actually be using screen readers are included in our focus group.

If there is anyone in this subreddit who would be willing to lend us their time and opinions, or point us in the direction of others willing to do the same, I would greatly appreciate it. Please feel free to ask me questions here or PM me any questions you may have about my university or the focus group itself.

Thanks all for your time,

AUCAS

TVI in training here.

Is there a school for people with visual impairments in your state? I'm sure there are. I'd reach out and ask if some of they're Juniors and seniors/ EXIT program students would be interested in assisting you since they are currently looking at and researching colleges
