Accessibility for interactive netflix titles(self.Blind)
submitted by Vicorin
Netflix recently released an interactive Black Mirror movie. I’m a huge fan of the series, but wasn’t sure how accessible it would be, so I decided to check it out.
I was hopeful when I found out that the movie has audio descriptions, but the choices weren’t accessible.
I think is a simple fix, the choices already appear as buttons to voiceover on my iphone, but they’re unlabelled. All this would require is for them to go in and add labels like they’ve done with all the other buttons.
Problem is, I’m not sure how to contact them to bring this to their attention. Anyone have any idea about how we can maybe advocate for this and how I can contact them?

Try watching in a web browser on a computer. The buttons are labeled there

That’s a major oversight on their part considering they’ve been good about audio descriptions!

Try the live chat. It disappointed me too. Luckily I have enough usable vision to screenshot the options or zoom in them so that I could read them.

Customer support email is probably the best.

It might be worth tweeting Charlie Brooker too? He is @charltonbrooker

Shit like that makes me cringe.
*I'm tweeting you in public so you can't ignore me!*

It depends on how you do it really, I hate seeing people being rude and entitled, but being polite is a different thing entirely.

Shaming them for lazy development on Twitter always helps. That's what I'm doing.
