Having trouble getting a job...I need advice please. Getting really depressed.(self.Blind)

I have albinism and for high school I went to Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. Since I graduated in 2013, I haven't been able to find a job. I found one out of pity (at least that's how I feel) because her son went to the same school but he was deaf. I think she thought I was deaf too... 2 days in I was fired because I didn't welcome a customer I didn't SEE walk in when I was in the BACK. I know this was the reason they let me go but in Florida you can't do shit about it, apparently. I have a 2yr son now and our rent is ridiculous. We don't qualify for SNAP or anything and I don't get why not... I don't have work experience, Division of blind services will only get me a job that pays through a stipend which will not help me out at all right now. Does anyone have any advice on a stay at home job that I don't have to put money into at first? I applied at Publix, Target, Dollar Tree, McDonald's, BK, etcetc. I kept applying and applying and idk.

Hi. I found an article about the different types of online jobs.
OMG you're amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this article. It actually REALLY helped and made me feel so much better. Little cash is better than no cash.

Have you tried the Florida Department of Vocational Rehabilitation?
They have a link for counselors with deaf/blind services. http://www.rehabworks.org/deaf.shtml

do you still live here in Florida? You might have some luck looking into Challenge Enterprises, they hire disabled to work at federal and state contracts, I myself work on a Navy Base loading food supplies aboard ships. Here's the link if you are interested http://www.challengeenterprises.org/

Have you reached out to the Florida Commission for the Blind?

I looked it up and it seems to be the same thing. They didn't really help me

No. I only ever heard of Division of Blind Services.

If you're into writing, you can work from home as a freelance writer. Otherwise, you can look into Florida's Business Enterprise Program.
