Thoughts on At First Sight (1999) (self.Blind)

Hello r/Blind. I am a sighted person and just came across the movie At First Sight starring Val Kilmer and Mira Sorvino. I was just wondering if anybody here had seen or heard of the movie and if so what are your thoughts on it? Are there any other movies featuring blind characters that you feel do a better job portraying the community? Thank you for taking the time to read this.
