Pairing an orbit braille display with a kindle fire (self.Blind)
submitted by stormsong19
I am attempting to pair my orbit with a kindle fire 8th generation. I have tried to go into voiceView and braille, scanned for a braille display, and my orbit will not show up.

I have tried with the orbit in emulation mode and not, in vv settings and standard bluetooth, and with and without braille back for kindle installed and activated.

Anyone have any ideas why this would not be working, and whatelse I can try?

Have you followed the instructions at https://tech.aph.org/or20/#Fire-Tablets

If that hasn't worked and no one here is able to help, one of these sources may be of help:

- Contacting whoever sold you the Orbit. If it's APH, their support number is 800-223-1839

- orbit research http://www.orbitresearch.com/support/orbit-reader-20-support/

- https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/accessibility/ or regular kindle fire support.

Hmm. Strange I don’t have one but I don’t see why it shouldn’t do it, maybe you can try the amazon accessbility line to see if they have any better ideas on whether it’s accessible have drivers for it but if not I don’t know why it isn’t detecting just a normal braille display setting. I have one and it pairs fine but it’s with ios devices but yeah, not to sure. Logically it should work though.
