Research on transportation for visually impaired (self.Blind)
submitted by suburbanbarbeque
Hello r/Blind,

We are a group of students at the University of Toronto looking to gain some insight into the daily life of persons who are blind or otherwise visually impaired. In particular we are focusing on your experiences traveling with public transit, ride-hailing services (such as Uber, Lyft, or taxis), and daily navigation through urban life. If you are able and willing to talk to us through text chat, voice chat, or if you are living in Toronto in person, please contact us either through Reddit or via email at: $1
Thanks!

For me personally I ride the tarc everyday to work. The transit app tells exactly when to get off.

There’s also something called bioptic driving that allows visually impaired people to drive

I’ve been really behind on this sub. But okay.

Yeah, I would be willing to help I’ve been through a few cities and have written there transportation systems. So sure I’ll be glad to help.
