GoldGun Episode 1 released on app stores! (self.Blind)

Hello dear friends

We are very happy to tell, that the Episode 1 of GoldGun has hit the most popular app stores today. And it is full free-to-play game.

remember that this is an audio game, and that it has no visuals except a back button (that was an inside joke)
​
some android devices have had problems with the Talk Back. It seems it needs to be disabled before the game can be played. We will work on some updates to fix those bugs, but perhaps we don't have time for that since we are concentrating on the next episode, and on improving at overall level the quality of our own audio game engine (IMAGE is called; Immersive Audio Game Engine).
​
remember also that this first episode has worked for us a pilot project. The quality of the audio is not there yet, where we want it to be. But next episodes will be longer, better, and with very cool things happening

Just downloaded this thing and gave it a try. You guys need to work on giving more information about the controls. For one thing, when I start, it just plays this music. I sat there thinking it was the intro for a couple minutes before I decided to try and tap around the screen and realized I had been on the main menu the whole time. You need to start with something saying "Please turn off your screen reader, you are now at the main menu swipe up and down to scroll through options and double tap to select" or something like that. Also, when the guy is telling you to tilt your phone right or left he should tell you how to hold the phone in the first place because if your holding it straight up and down your not going to tilt it the way the app wants. Also, I noticed that at least in the beginning you can only use the controls when it vibrates and makes a sound. It would be nice if the voice explained that so you don't end up doing what he says before the app is ready for your input, then you're just frustrated because you did what the app said but it didn't work. That at least I was able to figure out though. After I crawled through the air vent it started playing that music again without any prompting on what to do. Once again I waited a little bit and finally tapped around on the screen and it went to the next thing. The problem is the voice's instructions were complicated and went by quick, all I heard was listen for the beep and tilt your phone around until it gets longer to put in the code, or something like that. Also, you should change that to say listen for the click because if you're telling people to listen for a beep and that sound you're using I think most people wouldn't describe as a beep, they'll just be waiting there. And now I'm stuck at that level or spot or whatever it is because I didn't catch all those instructions and they don't repeat, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing. Just my first thoughts.

Yes, thanks for the feedback. The next episode is going to be way better. If this one got a 3 points out of 10, next one will be 6/10.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Some users have been saying that the game was just to easy, among another things. We also got some hard critics, and some other very positive ones. We have a lot of work to do, but the next episode is going to rock. It will be at least 10 times better, with more action, longer, better voice acting, better sounds, more immersive experience, and so on. We just started. As you read, this was just a pilot. But the next episode will take us 3 months. Hopefully the waiting is worth.

TalkBack compatibility is entirely broken on Galaxy s9 running Oreo. I tried turning it off and on to no avail,. It does not speak any elements whatsoever.
When I do a two-finger tap I got the game to start. It gave me some instructions to tilt the phone around. Then it started ticking. So I tilted every which way and changed to every which orientation with no change whatsoever.
So yeah I can't really give a review other than "Either I'm an idiot or this app is completely broken".

We are working on those issues, and perhaps in two weeks we are able to put an update in about two weeks to fix some of those bugs.

We are very sorry about those issues with TalkBack. On some Android phones it has work fine, and some others not so well. iOS is easy to check, because there are only few models available, but the amount of combinations of Android phones and operative systems is crazy, and we yet didn't have the resources to check out all of them. But we promise you one thing. We are going to work hard to fix that issue for the next episode, and then fix that bug for this first episode at the same time. Hopefully we succeed. Hi
Each episode will be purchased individually, because we can't ask you to pay for something that still we didn't produce. Splitting the game in episodes was the best way for us to move forward, and at the same time receive feedback from the players so we could improve on the go.
If you don't delete the application from your phone, it will inform you when there is the new update available.

Ah, okay I wasn’t sure if it was an in app purchase for all upcoming episodes or what but thanks.
