I never feel more imposter syndrome using my cane than at the eye doctor. Anyone else feel this way?

Nope. I need my cane and anybody who tells me I'm faking it can piss off.

I get the attitude, and no one has ever called me out at the eye doc. Imposter syndrome isn't rational.

Absolutely, I’m not dependent on my cane, but it does make everything easier. Last time I went to the eye doctor I was sure they were gonna like call me out or something but they didn’t

When I go to my eye doctor, my cane is a reminder of how badly everyone fucked up with my general care when I was going through my vision issues, and how all the surgeries, complications, and bad luck led to my blindness. Still, they can see my poogress every year, from me having to come in with help and being clumsy, to now where I can go to appointments myself and navigate around the office with ease using my ONM skills and photographic memory.

No?
No one thinks I am not not blind, but they can forget but never said I am faking it.
