Accessibility of Rhythm Heaven (self.Blind)
submitted by thefizzynator
I was wondering: If the instructions, which are usually given in text, were read aloud instead, would blind people be able to play Rhythm Heaven? I know that the answer heavily depends on which minigame it is. Has anyone played Rhythm Heaven before, and what did you think of it?

I'd venture some guesses for the first few individual minigames in Rhythm Heaven Fever for Wii:

- Hole In One is alright as it is.

- Screwbot Factory could use some more audio feedback on the lengths of the bots' necks, which determine the duration for which to hold A.

- See-Saw needs a major audio overhaul, since the outside (2 beats on the next rebound) and the inside (1 beat on the next rebound) sound exactly the same.

- Double Date is mostly good as it is, because both the first two kinds of balls require input at exactly a 1 beat delay, and the football, the only ball requiring distinct timing, is accompanied by a change in the background music.

- Fork Lifter is good as it is. Clear prompt sound effect, consistent 2-beat delay.

- Tambourine is good as it is. Stomp and clap could use some differentiation, but the structure is clear.

- Board Meeting could use an improvement on making the start of the hold more audible, and the first stop prompt sometimes overlaps with the start timing, which makes it hard to time, but it's otherwise okay.

See Saw is fine, at least on my TV.
