[GIVEAWAY] Old Braille Note Classic (self.Blind)
submitted by HDMILex
Edit: it's a 32 cell display.

Had this thing for years and no longer need it. So if you or someone you know wants a free note taking device or whatever, shoot me a PM! Still in excellent condition, case, charger and PDA included.

Only thing I ask is that you cover shipping (unless you're OK with me sending via Free Matter).

I believe it's still running Keysoft 6.0.

If you have no takers I’ll take it I am also willing to pay you for some of it. Up to maybe 100 dollars.

How many cells is the display? I'd pay you to ship it here.

32.

Also, the other guy messaging you can have it. I have an 18 cell note taker that is newer than the classic. But I'm leaving these here for informational purposes.

Thanks. Actually, I just thought of something else. Does ithave compact flash? I don't have the equipment to put things on it if not, so that could be a problem. I have a PCMCIA compact flash adaptor, but I recall it not working with the MPower, so it probably won't with the classic either.

Yes it does. I'd love to know why Humanware thought not including a USB port was a smart idea..But then again Humanware are not a smart company. Selling a "scanning machine" running Windows XP for 5K was one of the stupidest moves ever. Not to mention the battery scandle hahah

Yeah, some of the things they've done are just hilariously bad. It seems like the BrailleNote Touch Plus, or whatever this second gen one will be called, is a step in the right direction. So is the Victor Reader Trek. They're still unbelievably expensive, but so is everything else. At least the touch has modern hardware now.
