I have very poor low light vision after my partial vision loss. For me, it’s like when you first walk into a dark room or outside at night and your eyes are adjusting, but mine don’t anymore.

If there's no artificial light sources I can't see anything at all, including during a full moon*. You can simulate it for a minute or so by shining a flashlight in your eyes for a few seconds. My eyes never "adjust" to the dark because the rods are mostly dead.
Even some street lights aren't bright enough for me to see much by.
*I can see the moon itself if I look directly at it.

I have lot of trouble seeing in the dark and low light. At night if I dont have a light source greater than a nightlight, im going to walk into things. For the most part I turn on lights as I enter hallways or rooms to not do that. The other day I didnt for whatever reason and tried to open a door i thought was closed.
I have great difficulty seeing stars at night sadly.
I also cant see poorly lit games or movies

To me light sources almost appear to float and only the brightest put out a field around them I can see with.
Sometimes my eyes will pick up motions that are kinda just like shadows shifting? Like I know something moved but can't ID what it is.

I have low vision, about 80% vision loss or 20% vision. If I know what I am supposed to be seeing it’s much easier if I don’t know what I’m looking at then it either doesn’t exist or it’s unexplainable. The best way to describe things I can’t see it to give you this example: look behind you without turning your head. That’s what it looks like. Nothing. If something is past my line of sight I simply see nothing. Hope that helps 😊

I can only see light sources and just a tiny bit of what’s directly beneath the light.

I have rod-cone dystrophy. I can see nothing at all in the dark or in low light.
