Are you interested in playing Dungeons and Dragons, but have never even touched a dice?

We run Dungeons and Dragons groups for bling, visually impaired and sighted people. You need no previous experience.

If you are interested and want more information, please visit our website www.knightsofthebraille.com or email us at $1

I can help you create a character, provide you with accessible character sheets and we will teach you the basics as we go.

We use Google Hangouts, which is very easy to use as long as you have a GMail account.

Please let me know your timezone and availability.

If there's room count me in. I have been a DM for coming up on two years now and have barely ever played a character

This sounds like an awesome idea! Can you explain the concept of the game for those of us who have never played?
LPStorytime [OP] 3 points 4y ago
Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy role playing game. You create a character and then follow an adventure with other characters. You make decisions and speak for your character. Tasks you perform and fights you take part in are determined by dice rolls (we use an AI to roll dice, like Siri or Google). The idea of the game is to have fun and role play.

I am very interested in your accessible character sheet, but am unavailable due to Alaska time zone.

Send me an email if you’re interested and I’ll try to set up a group in your timezone.

I would be keen! Just gotta see how the time works out in Australian Eastern Standard Time.
LPStorytime [OP] 1 points 4y ago
There would be a 15 hour time difference between us. So our group would be conducted at 2:00AM on Monday for you. If you’re interested send me an email and I’ll put together a group for your timezone.

Oh crap, big oof.

That would be fantastic, honestly!

Audio quality (and latency) seems way better with Skype. I could just be crazy though or it might be my ISP or router that's causing the problem. Cool idea but I can't commit at the moment.

You should also include sighted people.

Sighted people are very much welcome. I would suggest trying Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds though, as they have strong visual components, if they enjoy strategy and visual storytelling. There is certainly no one being excluded from our group though.

Google Hangouts seems to be working. I haven’t noticed much difference from Skype, but I’m sure there are latency issues.

Oh I'm slowly losing my sight (and will *eventually* be 100% blind), but it's good to hear either way. I haven't played D&D in a long time but when I did a few years ago I used Tabletop Simulator & Google Hangouts for voice chat.

The latency in Hangouts back when I played really put in a kink in communication (in my opinion). I've had much better results from Skype for group and one-on-one voice & video chat. Hangouts might have improved since I last tested it. I should try taking measurements again.

I still haven't found the *perfect* voice & video chat client/service. Hope you find some great TTRPGers!
