Not interested in the slightest. Sorry!

/r/blind has seen a lot of surveys in recent times by students trying to get a better understanding of what it's like to be visually impaired. Although this may seem like a quick and easy way to get answers it's starting to get disruptive to those just trying to communicate with others about their impairment. I'm not sure if you've tried this already but Google informed me of "The Swedish Association of the Visually Impaired". Perhaps that's a better place to start as ideally you'd observe, not survey how people navigate in public areas. Last but not least; I'm not sure how your teacher will grade you but if they care about the process equally as much as the results it might be worth including your learning curve from dumping a survey on /r/blind to realizing that may not have worked too well. A valuable lesson in how important it is to understand your users (and how to approach them).

So is this sub now a place for research students to beg for blind folk to take part in their (mostly useless) research projects or can we have a primarily supportive/discussion sub?
