Ambutech slim line cane? (self.Blind)
submitted by ElectromechanicalFoe
NFB folding canes are cheap and flimsy, so I'm looking for an alternative. I've recently returned to Ambutech's regular folding graphite cane with ceramic tip, which seems strong and reliable. But it looks like Ambutech also makes a folding slim line cane, so I'm curious how the slim line compares to other products. Does anyone have experience with it?

The slim cane is not going to withstand the daily bashing a regular cane will. It is used for identification purposes, and testing the occasional drop off or step up. It’s great for people with low vision who need motorists to know they have a visual impairment when crossing the street.

I have a Swarovski cane, it’s The lightest folding cane I have been able to find that isn’t an ID cane.
I’m not sure where you might be able to buy one though, I get mine through world access for the blind

I’ve been trying to get this cane without any luck. Does World Access sell them? I think they are made in the Czech Republic but can’t find any more info.

Yeah, they are. I just email to ask for one and it would probably depend on where you’re from
