I’d really consider talking to your PE coach about different activities you could do while the rest of the class did these types of activities. From my experience, you’re never going to get much out of it. If that’s not an option, ask your coach to get some balls that beep or have bells inside. That would give you a better shot at meaningful participation.

Honestly, I just didn't participate. That might be a cop-out, but trying to participate was more annoying than enjoyable.
I'd just chill until they started doing something else, but that may not be something you can or want to do.

Same. I never participated in any fast-pace games.

Same.

I told the teachers and although they didn’t fully stop playing football and hockey, they varied it more so there was some athletics and stuff that I could do fairly easily without having to fear flying objects :)

Not blind but disabled(heart condition.) And first gym class i took i had a shitty ableist coach that essentially punished me for my disability.(it was some damn bullshit and she's one of the 2 people in this world that rotting in hell is not a bad enough insult for. The other turned my oretty happy, mostly okay with my life teenage self into a self loathing mess that resorted to self harm for years. If i ever see that woman again id like to tell her to go fuck a cactus.)

The second year I had a chill coach and played solitaire or card games. Or played on my phone. Sometimes other students would join me for card games.

I'd say just talk to your coach and if they're an ass go to the higher ups.

I would say talk to the coach. I struggle with some games and not with others, so I’ll ask for assistance in what I need. Sometimes it may just be a better option to go into adaptive PE where you’ll have 1:1 support. Often I will just have restrictions/modifications to make it easier (example, if we’re playing kickball, I’ll be the pitcher).

I was in adaptive PE for a while, but got nothing out of it. My school then came to an agreement with my parents and my O&M instructor that do to the fact I was getting O&M training weekly, I was walking quite a bit, so they let me miss it.

I've found games like soccer or ulitimate frisbee were easier for me. The ball normally moves slower, and in soccer it's normally on the ground, so a bit easier to find.
