You need to see a retina specialist. This doctor sounds over her head. The gold standard for visual fields is actually a manual test.

My glaucoma specialist has told me that visiual field tests are subjective and can vary. I've had times where I retake it and the new one will be better because I slept better (I'm more alert) and I held me eye open wider (I have droopy eyelids)

I was not seeking medical advice or a diagnosis. Only a doctor can do that.

I just wanted to hear the experiences of other vision impaired people as we might have had similar experiences, but in order to do that- I actually have to share my experience.

I’m actually glad I posted this, but fear not... It’s highly unlikely I will post here again.

What area do you live in? Do you know your visual acuity at distance and your degrees of field loss? It's not uncommon for eye doctors not to know anything about when to tell someone to get O&M training or how to help them get it. If you know your numbers that helps know where you can go to get O&M
