I don't know, tell me how you can still find beauty in things

Edit: is your significant other blind or nah? Did you meet SO before or after you went blind? Do you think SO would prefer to be with a non-blind person?

You can still do everything you like. Now you just have to do them differently.

I am sighted. I have been married to a blind man for 30 years. We go listen to bird song in forests. He reads a lot of National Library of Congress books which have helped him grow. We experience life together and find beauty still exists.

I went through what you're going through when I was 16. I became depressed and detached from society for a long time. You'll find beauty your own way as I did.

Now, I'm 29 with a 2 month old son that I means everything to me. You'll never know what is going to happen in your life. Maybe that is beauty of things.

I just did a blog post about Patrick Raymond who is in his early 30s and has Optic Nerve Hypoplasia. He plays volleyball with other sighted players and golfs. Just like aaronespinozaca said, you can still do everything you like, just differently. Here is link to post $1 but you should check out his facebook too - $1

What you are going through is extremely challenging. I find beauty through my other senses. The sound of the ocean crashing and the sent of the salt water as you feel the water move over your feet is beautiful. The sound of kind words and laughter from a loved one is beautiful. I cannot imagine what you are feeling right now. I hope that this helps. You will be in my prayers.
