looking for support with apple's screen reader (self.Blind)

Sighted individual here: my friend is blind and we are looking for support with apple's screen reader or maybe advice for another screenreader? Apple seems to have some issues with the latest installation. I am hoping someone here has experience with the screen reader and would be willing to help.

What specific issues have you noticed? I just updated two MBPs with the latest Mojave update but haven't noticed any egregious issues, at least nothing blocking or hindering my daily personal and professional use.

I’m waiting for my friend to reply to get us all linked up maybe in a chat? I’m not sure if he is familiar with Reddit but I sent him a link to this sub. Have you reported the issues you’ve noticed to apple? I think that they won’t do anything unless they get a lot of complaints...

I have. They’re fixing them in the next major update, but we don’t have a date on that. Reddit chat is a good idea because it’s not too complicated
