Parenting close calls (self.Blind)
submitted by matt_may
RP <9 degrees. Had a close call the other day. My fifth grader took a bath, wrapped in a towel then fell asleep at the top of the stairs (she wasn’t feeling well). I came up from the basement, saw the towel and started to step on it. Something in my brain halted me. That’s when I realized what was under the towel.

I was shocked and glad we dodged a bullet. Anyone else go through this kind of stuff as a VIP parent?

Not a parent, but the worst child you could ever ask for
I’m in the habit of throwing myself violently on my parents’ bed sometimes just because it’s bouncy and comfy. The other day, I forgot my mom was home and taking a nap, so I just ran in her room and violently threw myself on her. Thinking she was just a pile of laundry i just continued minding my buisness, until she yelled at me and that’s when I realized what had just happenned.
Not quite as serious, but could have ended badly aswell. I guess we just have to be more mindful and careful ?

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve suffered broken toes thanks to my family moving things from where I’ve memorised it to be. I’m pretty sure my poor feet look like gnarled monsters.
