Phone app that helps blind people see objects (self.Blind)
submitted by iseegr8tfuldeadppl
So basically a few weeks ago i started working on a project which helps blind people see through their phones' cameras, it's as easy as it sounds, i have support for english and french currently and working on arabic (not so easy to find arabic) but if more people want this i can add as many languages as possible, this project is an android only app for now and its functionality is to detect objects and spell them out, it uses Artificial Intelligence and computer vision that has recently risen really high, please comment any suggestions/opinions down below, it's really appreciated.

These apps already exist for IOS but there’s not many for Android, there’s one app from google but I can’t remember the name of it.

When you say it spells it out, do you mean that table is spelt as t a b l e? Or does it say the word table?

it says the actual word table, and i have searched fairly well on the google play store and had not found one that actually spells the objects it detected nor was it made with voice instructions that the app playa for the user who can't read instructions.
