This is a good question for Netflix. :-D

In the US, the Federal Communications Commission is responsible for requiring a certain amount of hours per year of audio description. It's currently at around 87 hours per year, which isn't much.

Netflix has made over 900+ shows in the US available with audio description, and Breaking Bad is not yet one of them.

It's certainly worth letting Netflix know you're interested in Breaking Bad, as the shows with the greatest interest are likely to be the ones they work on next.

To save you the effort of hunting this info down (I'm a Netflix user too!), just log into your account online, click on your profile, then click on "help center", on that page go to the bottom and click on "Want to contact us?"

You should see CALL and LIVE CHAT.

Hope this helps.

I wish I could help!

It appears audio description requires the video to be transcribed to a 3rd track.

I can use AIVA to get a fairly good text caption from the spoken words on any video but not the audio description. Mostly used for talk shows and documentaries.

However, you did give me an idea for a system for hearing people to easily speak in to your phone or computer and have it translated to text and vice versa.
