Hahahahaha sorry but this was a really funny read. I totally get your feelings but try to not get too caught up over it. Yes, it's a bit weird when it's your dad but in the end, parents are also just people. It's sometimes hard to believe this but they were even young once, they have a sexuality and all this other stuff. If you think that pretending not to have seen/heard anything is the best route to take, that's fine. Personally, I feel like just laughing about it together is a better solution. Maybe I have this attitude because I'm a guy myself. I recently walked in on my wife sitting on the toilet, which I know she feels incredibly uncomfortable about. I didn't even see her sitting there, I only realized when I heard her scream at me. I quickly left the bathroom again, but not before laughing and saying "Sorry babe! I promise I did not see anything... I only smelled it." :)

Oh goodness. How awkward. I think we've all had awkward moments like this with family. I would say try to avoid them by always knocking before entering a private space, but your dad certainly didn't help himself by keeping his door open. I think the best course of action is to bury that memory deep in a place you won't ever come in contact with again and pretend like nothing happened. Still... I imagine it's going to take a little while to brush off that memory. So sorry.

The thing is... most guys (and really most adults) do look at porn and masturbate. It’s perfectly normal. It’s horrible that you had to walk in on that and hear your dad doing it, but it’s probably good that you pretended not to. That will save you from further awkwardness!
