I think we’re overly hard on this show. It’s not that media doesn’t get blindness or guide dogs completely right, it’s that they don’t get anything completely right. I thought it was an entertaining show which put a blind character on an interesting story arc. I liked it.

The media does try to do things right some of the time (obviously depending on the content). I think they have a duty to portray disabled people accurately to eliminate misconceptions.
