Kurzweil text to speech software - Unopened, is it worth selling? (self.Blind)

I received a small bursary to go towards a laptop and Kurzweil text to speech software. I no longer need the software but have to order it to get my bursary. I’m still putting out $1700 out of pocket so I’m hoping there’s a way to sell the Kurzweil software to someone before I install it, at a discount of course.
Does anyone know if the software can be sold to someone else if it’s unopened?

You shouldn't have a problem selling the software, since it hasn't been opened or registered yet, but you'll have to double-check your country's laws. In the US people do this all the time. Congrats on the new computer!

Depends if it needs registered and such. Maybe check Ebay, see if any products like this are for sale and what they sold for.

I’m in Canada. It retails for $1000 Cdn here.
