I ignore them honestly. They want your attention, why give them what they want? Anyone else in the vicinity will know who’s being an asshole to a blind person and they do feel the judgement heaped on them. It’s pretty funny to watch. :D

the good news is that ableists are such a widely diverse group of people, you will seemingly never run out of something to criticize. for example: that one guy in this thread. never had to say *that* to someone before.

this is also the bad news. in all honesty—when someone asks me stupid (malicious) questions, i give them stupid (malicious) answers. and never forget the power of a well-placed, “seriously?”
