Any musicians with Macular Degeneration or Stargardt's Disease? (self.Blind)

I am a professional musician (organist / church musician / pianist) that was just recently diagnosed with Stargardt's Disease. I have some questions about what the future holds for me and my work. Please comment below if you are a musician and have MD or SD!

I'm a guitarist so no one ever dares hand me sheet music. I usually write up my own "nashville number" charts. That way I can make 'em nice and big and easy to see. Even better if I can just memorize the music. Last resort is using an iPad and zooming in on a chart.

Well, I have a similar degeneration, and switched to guitar instead of piano. I have most lyrics memorized, and seeing a one letter “chord” instead of a sheet of tiny musical dots... much easier. yeah I just switched instruments. I don’t know what others do. Good luck.
