My daughter is visually impaired. She has recently at 14 years old gotton into theater. I am struggling to find affordable ways to take her without having to get almost front row seats. I shocked so few places have seats set aside for visually impaired. She wants to do Broadway soon a d I dread that experience. Any solutions out there?

A lot of places are very accommodating with seat upgrades, I've gone to several concerts ane had my seat upgraded after I spoke to a member of management, maybe try that?

Yeah, I was going to say this. It's the sort of thing you have to call and talk to someone about.

If you can't get her a seat closer, you should check with her low vision specialist to see if government assistance covers something like this.
They are essentially a modern take on opera glasses. They have a few different models, with some for outdoor events and such.

I’m fully blind so it’s easier for me as you sit me behind a screen and I still get the full experience. My local theatres all let me in basically for free as I sit in seats they can’t sell.

I am surprised. I live in Canada, and can often with the aid of my CNIB card get a ticket either half priced or free when I pay for my guide. I have something similar for the cinema, but for the theatre I can think of three theatres where I have used this system.

A couple of friends have a child who dances. They ask the instructor-organizer and they get front row seats. They use Aira to see the performance.
