Interview Study on People with Disabilities' Experiences in Counseling or Therapy: Recruiting Men of Color ($30 gift card) (self.Blind)

Hi everyone,
My name is Kristin Conover, Ph.D., and I am an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program in the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. I am conducting interviews to better understand people with physical disabilities' experiences in mental health counseling or psychotherapy.
I am looking for **MEN OF COLOR** (American Indian, African-American or Black, Asian-American or Asian, Latinx/Latino, Middle Eastern, South Asian or Indian, or Multiracial) to volunteer to participate in this study. In order to qualify for participation in this research study, you must:
1) consider yourself to have any type of physical disability
2) be at least 18 years old
3) live in the United States
4) be fluent in English
5) have participated in psychotherapy with a licensed clinician, which:
a) took place in the past 10 years
b) took place in the United States
c) took place when you were an adult
d) lasted at least one session
If you would like to participate in this research study, you will arrange an in-person interview in the Los Angeles area or arrange an online interview via Skype.com. You can expect the study to take approximately 1 hour, depending on the length of your answers. You will also be asked to fill out a consent form and background questionnaire.
Participants will receive a $30 Amazon gift card.
