Presentation on Reddit- Is alt text an option? (self.Blind)

I have a presentation on Reddit and it's benefits this afternoon. I have a visually impaired student in my class and want to be prepared when she asks about alt text on reddit. I can't seem to find the answer to this.
Is alt text available on reddit? I understand most posts are discussion based- but if it is an image or a video, can alt text be provided?

No. But you might want to tell her about /r/transcribersofreddit and what they offer.

As far as I know, no, alt text isn’t a thing on reddit although I use the old.reddit.com site when on my pc so it might be available on the newer version but I doubt it.
