Generic Handheld Braille labeler tape? (self.Blind)

I have a very generic braille labeler. Turn the dial and squeeze the handle and it goes "KACHUNK". Anyway...
The tape seems to be no different or at least now very different from clear vinyl tape used in print labelers.
Is there tape that I can get for my labeler that is not $10/roll? Can I use tape that is intended for a print labeler?
I've been out for a really long time and I'd like my Braille Labeler back.

You can usually get dymo tape at Walmart for cheap and the NFB store sells it for $1 a roll plus shipping.

standard stuff fits just fine. I think it's between 9-11mm wide or something. Don't pay through the nose for inflated "blindy" prices. ;)
