Research On Different Types Of Eyesight Treatment (self.Blind)
submitted by BlackAndBlueBerriess
Hello everyone.

I am a college student working on a project for a startup company that is developing some pretty neat assisitive tech devices for blind/visually impaired people. My goal is to learn as much as I can about the current market for eyesight treatments. Namely, what kinds of treatments are available, how much they cost, and how effective they are. If everyone can take one minute to do the survey attached below it would be extremely helpful in helping us expand our knowledge of the field of eyesight treatments. I'll also leave a link to my companies website if anyone is interested in checking out what they're working on. Thank you so much!

Survey: $1

Company website: $1

If there are any optometrists or ophthalmologists in the chat I also have some surveys for you as well.

Survey for general optometrist/ophthalmologist: $1

Survey for optometrist/ophthalmologist that perform eye surgery or other rehabilitation treatments : $1

While I appreciate what you’re going for, that’s way too much personal information being asked for and basically nothing about vision. It probably wasn’t your intent, but this looks suspicious and like a scam. I’m afraid that’s one survey I’m not filling out.

I understand what you mean. The reason we ask for the personal information is to help us understand the demographics better. For example, if we find that people of a certain age, or people that live in certain area are generally unsatisfied with their current level of treatment then we will know to direct our marketing towards them. Also you might not have seen the second page of the survey which asks the relevant questions about eyesight treatments. I have since fixed that and moved them to the same page. I think you do have a good point in regards to the name and contact info questions. Our company wanted us to include that so that they would be able to follow up, but it isn't really necessary for the general data that we are trying to gather. I'm gonna ask them if we can remove those.
