Have you tried using screen magnification software? If you're on Windows, just hit Win+Plus to zoom in and Win+Minus to zoom out ("Win" is the windows key, usually located between ctrl and alt).
I suspect that may not work well for games though. For this case, maybe try lowering the resolution they run at (either in the game settings, or you might have to lower the resolution of your whole display in the Display Settings).

Use software magnification. On windows, you can just press Control and the plus button at the same time. On Mac go to universal access, click the display tab, and activate the zoom feature. On website you can also col down control and turn the mousewheel to make things bigger if you're using Chrome. If you can't read the text on normal website, you may also want to consider learning to use a screen reader.

For something that size, it wouldn't be glass/plastic, it would need to be digital. But most wouldn't have a mounting arm attachment, you'd have to jury-rig something.
Humanware produces one that is 8 inches across. Not sure if that is suitable.
