Looking For Rolling Bag/Backpack That Can Accommodate Bulky Assistive Technology And Braille Textbooks(self.Blind)
submitted by TheBlindBookLover
I don’t know about you, but I have a talent for putting my school bags through their paces. I need to carry a laptop, soon to be BrailleNote Touch, braille textbook, folder, and chords in addition to the general essentials like my phone and wallet. Before anyone asks, yes, I do need to carry all of those items. I am in college. I tried the backpack rout for a while, but it was just too heavy. I assume that I am not the only one lugging around heavy supplies considering accessible materials are often bulky. What bags have you found to stand up to daily use? I need a rolling bag that has the option of backpack straps as well. It would also be ideal if it is water proof or at least water resistant. My maximum budget is $100.00 if it is a good bag, but I would prefer to stay in the 60-80$ range. I have been doing a lot of research, but I am still very undecided considering my history of destroying bags with my bulky items. Thank you to anyone who responds.
I have the first gen of this bag and it’s holding up 5 years later. I would never fly with it, but it holds up well in day-to-day commercial use.

Hi. Thanks for responding. I will check out IKEA.

I unfortunately don’t have a bag to recommend. However, for the water proof/water resistant part, you can get some covers that are easy to put on and will do the trick.
