New Macbook - can't synch my audiobooks to my iPhone using bluetooth(self.Blind)
submitted by lonelyfatoldsickgirl
I think I can buy an adapter so I can connect an iPhone to my new Macbook, but for now I just have bluetooth. I use Celalibrary to download audiobooks (a Canadian Library site for visually impaired folk) then copy them into iTunes and normally sync my device from there, but in iTunes when my iPhone is connected via Bluetooth I can't sync using iTunes.
I search online and it seems Apple only allows basic sync'ing (ie your contacts) when using Bluetooth.
Does anyone have have experience with this?
I did email Cela but their email bounced back saying "Your message to info@celalibrary.ca has been blocked. See technical details below for more information. The response from the remote server was: 550 5.4.1 Recipient address rejected: Access denied." so I may have to call them during the daytime.

I was fed up with iTunes to transfer my books to the phone and I discovered an app called Prologue. It connects to a Plex Media Server where you can store your books in a library. I'm running a Plex server on my PC and now moving audioobooks to my phone is a breeze.

Have you tried using AirDrop or iCloud Drive?

Not yet but I will now, thank you!

Do you have the wire that came with your IPhone? Can’t you plug that in and use that?

The new MacBooks do not come with USB ports. No wire came with it other than the charge cord.

Whaaah? How do they expect people to transfer stuff from one place to another?
I’m so glad I don’t have a mack.

AirDrop. If it works, it’s bloody beautiful.
I’m sure people said the same thing when they stopped installing CD drives.
