Was browsing netflix the other day and I saw that a lot of movies like ferris bueller now have audio descriptions dubbed over the movie. They're well put together, well timed, and make the movie an even more enjoyable experience than before

Netflix is really awesome about that. I am so grateful that they are leading the charge and setting the standard for accessibility. I just wish Hulu would do the same.

Just in case you didn't know, Hulu now has AD for some of their newer originals.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is also on Prime with AD in the US. It might be part of Paramount's decision to add AD to popular older movies. However, there are instances of Netflix adding AD to non-original films themselves.

The only movie I can't find description for is Aliens and it drives me nuts. I've seen Alien, Aliens 3, and Alien Resurrection all with AD, but not the second movie and I want to! I'm also a bit sad that the original John Carpenter's The Thing isn't described. The woes of a sort of niche horror fan who is also blind!

Oh holy shit dude that's an amazing website, you should make a post and farm the karma. Copyright holders cant even be mad because the website has no parts of the actual films on it

It has the soundtracks, and the people who listen to the content they get from there can't use ignorance as an excuse because many films have a message vocalised as part of the end credits that reproduction including soundtrack is prohibited.
