Hi everyone!
I am new to Reddit. I am not blind or visually-impaired however I am a graduate interior design student at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA doing some research for my master's thesis on this population. My main focus is on employment and work environment due to the high unemployment rates among people who are blind. Some reasons I uncovered are due to social exclusion, discrimination and lack of access to work.
It would be very helpful if I can get some working-age blind participants to take a quick survey for me through Google Forms as I need the very valuable insights from people who are blind. All responses are confidential and anonymous as it is data will be used to support my thesis argument. Thank you in advance to all who submitted a response!

hey there. I work at a nonprofit that advocates for website accessibility. One thing I've learned from working with so many, many users who have disabilities: they resent how often they are asked to do things for free, from filling out a survey to testing someone's site.
There is a LOT of research regarding the issues for sight-impaired users, lots of first-person narratives online, and on and on. You might want to go out and find those many resources to learn what you want to about the challenges for the variety of sight-impaired people in using online tools.

Thank you for the suggestion! Indeed, I did come across multiple research on employment of the blind and how they are subjected to lower wages and low- skilled jobs simply due to them being vision- impaired which is extremely unfortunate.

I hit the same issue. I don't think you're going to get a lot of joy from people if it requires some sort of sign in.

I tried filling out the form but it says I have to sign in and I don’t have a google account.
The other forms I filled out from google didn’t require me to sign in, can you change it or is it a knew google thing?
