Why not just use commandline out of curiosity? I'm not using windows much anymore but I use terminal on the mac in conjunction with a text editor called textmate that I use for python. I find that setup works great and from what I understand terminal is the same as commandline pretty much, just type for example python3 Math.py and it will run your program. But if you just prefer an IDE or for whatever reason need to use one for class maybe then yeah I would agree with others here visual studio or eclipse even.

the terminal is not that Accessable with JAWS that's why.

Oh its not? Thought it was. Guess its only with NVDA then.
In that case, I'd go with visual studio. I'd also recommend eclipse but I'm not sure that might just be exclusively for java not python.

echo the sentiments on Visual Studio.

In addition, a great resource if you're blind and wanting to develop software is the email list $1. There are people on that list from Microsoft including a guy, Dante, on the Visual Studio team. He's great at getting any feedback to the VS developers.

Visual Studio, but make sure you have a decent PC first, it goes nom nom on anything and on slower PCs, it will chug hard.

Depends on your programming language. Visual Studio Code works well with NVDA at least, so I'm assuming it should work at least ok withJAWS. For c# and friends, visual studio community is probably your best bet.

I think most people are using Visual Studio these days.
