Personally I always get a white cane. Most people have some idea of what the White cane stands for. If you go and change the color, you just confuse people.
I would go with White.

I mean mines white and pink, it’s pretty identifiable as a white cane and obviously it works but I like knowing that it’s not just a generic looking one.
That said I don’t think anyone should be required to have a color, you should be able to customize it to meet your needs AND reflect your personality

It might confuse people. I personally went for a white cane with a colored handle (I chose blue) so it is at least a little bit fun but still recognizable.

White reflects lights better than any color. Working with children and teenagers that are reluctant to use the cane, it helps a bit when they decide they will use a cane if it's in their favorite color. Sometimes a nice keychain in the cane's loop is enough to create a sense of ownership.

Some cane companies have started producing canes with different colours (https://ambutech.com/collections/aluminum-mobility-folding-canes/products/aluminum-mobility-cane).
There has not been a conses among O&M instructors as to whether that is a good thing or not. It has been helpful in encouraging younger cane users to actually use their cane, but there has also been a times when someone doesn't recognize it as a white cane (because it isn't white).

No
I had o and m today have to pick cane colour and tell them
Like blue but uncertain if it'll affect other people awareness

A lot of people won't recognize it for what it is if it's colored. Also, most states that have laws about motorists yielding to cane users, etc. state that they must do so for people using a predominantly white cane. If you use a colored cane, not only are people not going to recognize it, the laws put in place to protect you aren't necessarily going to apply.
I think if you want to color the tip/bottom section that's fine, but the cane should be primarily white, for safety.

I d9nt think the colours would help. The general public doesn’t even know what the white cane is for...I’ve been asked:
Is that for self-defense? Are you doing a survey? Is that to measure how far you walk?

I'm in o and m and have to select what colour I want my cane to be
JynxBJJ1 points3y ago
Ah, my bad. Good luck!

Should I get a coloured one

Really depends on where you live. I know different countries have different requirements. I live in the USA, so my laws state that a white cane with a red tip is fir blind/vi users. I made my own cane when I started, using electoral tape. It was an old walking staff, and wicked heavy, but it worked apuntil I got a foldable one.
