My date night and blackheads (self.Blind)
submitted by blindblondandbold
Hello my fellow people. I have a date on Wednesday and I’m very self conscious about my facial impurities. As a legally blind person I don’t see acne blackheads etc on other person. But can sighted people see them when hugging or kissing? Should I wear makeup?

This person accepts you already but if you can you can have a dermatologist look at your skin and do a pimple popping done.

Yes. Sighted people can see them, even from across a table, but it’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone gets a breakout from time to time. I’d say if you are normally most comfortable wearing make up, then do that. If not, no worries. If you worry that you are getting too many blackheads and acne, talk to a dermatologist about treatment because there can be severe cases. Make up shouldn’t be about covering things up though. It should be about what makes you feel your best.

Wow sight really amazes me! Seeing tiny dots across the table is just wow hahaha. I’m using blackhead treatment right now but my face went crazy because of hormones and anxiety (different cause tho :D) I love makeup and I beat my face almost every day. I was thinking if I should go full coverage or not. I just want to look good in general because I love people’s reaction when they see me with my cane and full face makeup lol.

Hmm tough call. I should preface this by saying my makeup game is like formal occasion only and probably outdated by at least a decade. What about doing eyes and not full coverage? Best of both worlds without punishing your skin? Even with makeup on, I can see the bumps of acne if that helps you make a decision. I don’t see the redness, but I can still see where the skin rises and falls. Maybe going with full coverage will still give the first impression you’re going for? Good luck! I hope the date goes well!

Thanks so much for the additional makeup advice. I was thinking the same look, eyes and light coverage. And now I made my mind thanks to you <3

Hi, I wonder how your date went.

Hey! Didn’t see your comment sorry. It was pretty good thanks for asking:)

Hi, these are visable. I recommend you go to a salon where you could ask for help in learning how to clean your face. Sighted people learn about there skin when they go, and I know that most salons have no problem providing this kind of support when we ask for help.

Thanks so much! I feel way better now thanks to all your support and answers.

We would be able to see it, but it’s really not that big of a deal. Wear makeup if you want to. But we aren’t looking at anything when kissing lol
