I'm an avid reader and a writer of sci-fi and fantasy. Apparently I'm a decent one if that matters. I wouldn't worry so much about describing color, color, even to the blind. I'D say a lot us probably conceptualize color, even if we can't envision it. A lot of blind people have encountered color, though of course those born that way have not. The biggest piece of advice, don't neglect the other senses. Hearing, touch, smell and sometimes taste can really bring a scene to vivid life. That said you don't have to check boxes. Not every scene will require all five. Especially if this person you're writing about isn't themselves blind. You can also use metafors and similes to portrey color, though that's another thing you don't want to overdo. Basically, everything in moderation. Hope that helps. Let me know if I should clarify anything.

Look up Mel Finefrock on Facebook or you can just Google her. She is a poet/short story writer. Also Caitlin Hernandez is another one you could look up. i’m not sure if either of them have read it but I know they have Facebook and I know Mel has other sites she uses for her writing.

I'm a writer, poetry, philosophy, self help, finance and investing and last but not least erotica or romantica. Although I haven't published anything. I enjoy it.

I’m just a visitor to this sub, but one of my favorite writers, $1, was blind for the last 30-or-so years of his life, and substantially visually impaired for a considerable time before that. He was an excellent writer, and I recommend his work wholeheartedly.

I’m not blind but vision impaired, and have been writing since I was a kid. So I can’t speak for those who are blind but don’t be afraid to describe colour. And as another commenter said, you can use other senses :)
