Looking for up to 4 web users for brief study (self.Blind)
submitted by i_am_extra_syrup
Hi, and thank you for your time! I am a web designer and accessibility advocate looking for feedback from web users who are blind or have a visual impairment and use keyboard navigation, or other non-visual input methods. This will hopefully not take up more than 15 minutes of your time and you can do it at your own convenience. The purpose of this study is to determine how accessible information is related to corona-virus (COVID-19). I probably don't need more than 4 participants but as many can participate as would like to. If you're able to screen record your session that would be great as well, but not required.

This is an independent study that is not for profit. It will probably be published somewhere - also not for profit. This is purely for advocacy. Feel free to ask me any questions, thank you!

I am a fully blind experienced screen reader user and can test with JAWS, NVDA, and voiceover on iPhone with various different browsers if needed.
I am not sure what the most accessible method for recording my screen would be, but I certainly don't mind doing so. I am also not adverse to doing a zoom or team viewer call and sharing my screen.
May I ask who's behalf you are doing this on and what you are intending on accomplishing with the data you collect?

Thanks for your interest! This quick study is for an article that I’ll be writing myself, purely for the sake of awareness and accessibility. It’ll go on a new personal web dev blog that will be free of advertisements and not for profit. I’ll also be sharing it across a couple of social media channels, like LinkedIN. This is just the first of many topics that I’d like to cover. I’m aiming for more unique topics versus covering the basics, as a lot of others do already. The personal benefit for me from these articles I’m doing is to simply grow my skills and become a resource and expert in web accessibility. Thank you and let me know if you’d like to talk further!
