Does anyone know if there's a material I can easily get at a craft store to use as adhesive Braille paper? Would contact paper work? I'm in the US and my state is shut down so I can't get it from my TVI.

Ok this is from memory so I may be wrong Braille paper is roughly 150 GSM paper Depending on brand
You can get photo grade sticky paper A4 size in 200 GSM weight for about $13 for 20 sheets from most office supply stores it may work But it's only 100 GSM when backing removed may not be thick enough

That's a great suggestion. I actually just remembered that one time I Brailled a sheet of transparency paper (from the old style overhead projectors) and it worked fantastically. Not adhesive but can be attached with glue or something. I wish I knew what the weight of the paper was.

How big does it have to be? Flashcards, the ones that are on thicker paper, have worked well for me in a pinch.

Does it need to be solid, or have a color? I have some Braillables —American Thermoform’s braille sticky sheets. They’re 8.5”x11” and transparent, but they are designed to be embossed and stick well. I use them when making my business card overlays. I’d be happy to mail you a few sheets if you need some. (Edit-I’m also in the US.)

Unless the contact paper is a different kind than I am thinking of, it wouldn't be able to hold the bumps well enough. They are easy to flatten.
Have you tried cardstock? That might be stiff enough, but you'd have to glue on yourself.
One of my coworkers who is totally blind uses the advertisements she gets in the mail that is made from the stiffer paper. It's stiff enough to hold the braille, and she can't see what they are advertising anyways.
