Hi, I use my slate and stylous quite a bit. I always cary my kit with me and it comes in handy.

I never learned to use one, so although of course I understand the operation, I've got no need to use it now - or at least I didn't think I did.

1. Writing my contact information for other blind people
2. I write down other people's contact information
3. I make lists for everything, specially for shopping or of items I need to make sure to pack
4. I make outlines of presentations I'm giving
5. I use it to do Braille demonstrations when I'm doing advocacy work
6. I write down reminders for myself
7. I use it to make Braille lables for items I need to identify
8. I've used it to give messages to friends
I cary a kit with a couple of different slates and my favorite stylous, along with paper. One of the slates already has paper in it, so its easy to pull it out when I need it. PS. I also cary a pen in the kit because sighted people always look for pens...

I just used it to write a birthday letter that I'll attach to a gift.
