My First Documentary On Nystagmus (self.Blind)
submitted by MattMorrisMedia
Hi all, I have Nystagmus and with a budget of $0 and strict time frames at film school I made a documentary called My Dancing Eyes.

With limitations in my ability to travel and with almost no equipment I guided participants through the process of filmmaking on smartphones.

The film: $1

In the media: $1

I want to grow as a filmmaker and become better at the craft, I'd deeply appreciate any feedback.

Wow, thanks for sharing this! This is a really useful resource for me as a TVI. I may share it with classroom teachers to help them understand their students with nystagmus.

I think this was very well done. My daughter has congenital nystagmus, and it’s been difficult to explain to others. I shared your doc with our friends and family. Thank you for making, and sharing, your project!

I also have congenital nystagmus. This was really well put together and will be very helpful when I fall short trying to explain things to people!

I am definitely going to share this on our low vision blog- we have a lot of patients with Nystagmus and your doc is the best I’ve seen in explaining it... the film is really well done as well. thanks again!
